Treatment and Outcome

Problem Notes
  • Chronic Renal Failure: Zoe had a congenital Porto Systemic Shunt with ameroid ring surgically implanted in 2005 as a pup. She was fed Hill's k/d post op and never switched to a maintenance diet.

Creatinine values started increasing 8/8/18 to 1.9 but stabilized there. I recently took on this case for both Eastern and Western medicine when owner requested acupuncture for IVDD. Urine protein run 2 months ago was 1.9 (normal 0-0.5)

Treatments
Day 68

Notes:  Zoe was started on "Hamonize the Qi" at a dose of 1/2 tab BID. Urine Protein/Creat has improved from 1.9 to 1.3. Creatinine level improved from 1.9 to 1.7. BUN improved from 49 (1/16/19) to 41. Her protein and albumin are normal, but Calcium is now elevated to 13.6 (7.9-12)

Diet is largely canned or kibble
