- Certainty: confirmed
- Comments: Congenital CNS disease. MRI on 10/4/13 showed Dx'd w/ caudal occipital malformation syndrome, w/ mild hydrocephalus, and areas of syringohydromyelia in spinal chord, and moderate R ventral extradural spinal nerve compression.
Symptoms of poor hearing, rubbing at face for since puppy. Suddenly stopped jumping, running. Appetite fine. Took to vet in Rogue River. Did x-rays, rads. Put on tramadol and gabba penton. Seemed to help at first. After MRI Dx, but on pred 5mg sid, Prilosec and Cerenia, Tramadol. Still on gabbapentin
Not being herself since started drugs in Oct. Lethargic, not playful. On R/D for wt. loss. Hungry all the time and drinking a lot of water
Exam: Sweet dog. HR 80. No pain on palp of cervical spine. 23 lbs. T-pink, lavender; P- thin, wiry
A) COMS w/ hydrocephalus, syringohydromyelia, spinal nerve compression. TCM: Kidney Jing Def; Shao Yang Pattern?
