Tail Pull Injury
Signalment
Disease Notes
- Certainty: confirmed
- Comments: Hi Steve, I have a ~1 yr old FS cat with a tail-pull injury. It occurred ~4 months ago. She was found with a flaccid tail and urinary incontinence. She is definitely a HT personality. In clinic her pulses are wiry and fast, with a red tongue. Dry needling is a no-go, so we perform Laser AP. She had a recent bout of constipation, and occasional UTIs. We now have her on a raw diet and is feeling much better. I think I should start her on Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang for the constipation and incontinence. But Du Huo Ji Sheng Tang appears to be an option for tail avulsions, also. Am I correct thinking a younger, stronger cat would perhaps do better on BZYQT, vs DHJST, which seems to be geared towards KID Def or geriatric patients?
Thank you!
