Pancreatitis With Vomiting And Diarrhea

  • Comments: 10/1/2004 - Had never vomited, even a hairball. Found vomit on floor in AM. Ate ok then vomited all food multiple times. The tongue went from side to side as if something stuck in mouth. Tail was twitching. 10/2 diarrhea (watery no odor) and V once.
    10/3 - to local vet - sub Q fluids, tender abdomen, mouth ok. Barium 5 hours to clear (normal 1 1/2 hrs).
    10/4 - collapsed - to ER - fluids, blood, ate cat food at clinic. Sent home
    10/5 - worse - Hosp 3 days - Ultrasound & prior blood - confirmed pancreatitis. gave Pain meds - bad reaction to buprenex in hosp so gave Tramadol; Flagyl; vit B; proviable. when visited her - growled, hissed (never done before - ever).
    10/8 - home - did not need pain meds.
    Days ensuing - o. started chicken (cooked) and natures logic canned chicken and LLysine.

Problem Notes
  • Coughing Sneezing: At 5 months (Sept 2012) began a lot of coughing and sneezing.
    recurred november.

    June and Sept 2013 cough/sneeze. None since.

  • Scratching In Box Without Voiding: 11/10 Since returning from ER on 10/ 8 - goes to box 2-5 times a day, scratches and does not void. Is passing normal amts of urine and stool.
  • Shakes Head: Had ear infection at 6 months with raw skin near the ear- antibiotics in ear. Antifungal cream did not help skin but neosporin did.
    Still shakes head twice a week as if allergies.
