- Comments: Over the past year, this dog has suffered worsening RH lameness characterized by:
- aggression to other dogs in house
- hind end sensitivity to touch
- inability to jump in the car
- groaning on lying down or standing up
- restlessness and pacing during sleep
- falling
- hiding in small spaces
Additionally, the dog sheds excessively and has an excessively dry coat.
Physical examination revealed
- toe touching RH lameness on rising from rest
- lower lumbar and sacro-iliac fixations
- wiry pulse
Muscle spasms at BL 26 were relaxed with dry needling during treatment. Infrared imaging of the RH leg showed it to be 1 to 2 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the opposite side. GB 34 was notably cooler. Needling produced pulse improvements - Final Status: much better as of day 70 of treatment

Notes: No incidences of aggression have been seen. The dog sleeps deeply and restfully. Lameness is still visible on physical examination, but not of the same severity. The dog offers its hind end for massages and exhibits no sensitivity.
