Case Details
Atticus by LisaHoberg
Chronic Pancreatitis

Signalment

  • Age: 7 years
  • Breed: Siamese
  • Species: cat

Disease Notes

  • Certainty: tentative
  • Comments: Atticus had been seen at a conventional veterinary office about a month ago after several episodes of vomiting and a few days of lethargy. Bloodwork revealed elevated amylase and a tentative diagnosis of pancreatitis was given to the guardian. He was treated with pain medications and his problem resolved in a few days.

He presented to me today and the guardian felt he was having a relapse - had stopped eating, acting "strange" and seemed withdrawn, not wanting to be petted or held.

Physical exam was unremarkable. His temperature was 102F, hydration good - he seemed slightly withdrawn on exam and haircoat was dull although hydration was good.

He was given one dose of Phosphorus 30c during visit and owner was instructed to give another dose tomorrow.
  • Final Status: resolved as of day 10 of treatment
