Treatment and Outcome

Problem Notes
  • Liver Enzymes: Sept 8th
    Icteric blood sample
    ALP 841 ALT 812 AST 121 GGT 19 (15)
    bili 1.1 conj 0.4 (0.3) alb 2.7 (2.7)
    BUN 12 Chole 163

Day 36

Notes:  Dog is free of any abdominal pain, totally active and robust. Radiographs show liver within normal parameters. Serum is still icteric but awaiting full blood results.

Day 64

Notes:  Dog continues to act robust and healthy, high energy, great appetite. ALP and bili continue to improve, ALT went up a bit again, BUN/cholesterol and albumin still low and dog has lost a bit more weight. Concern is that the cancer, which had consumed most of liver parenchyma on initial ultrasound, is continuing to impact liver function. Added in Xiao Chai Hu Tang, Standard Process Thymex, Hepatrophin; dog is still on melatonin.

Diet is largely raw
