Day 190

Notes:  At the previous visit a week ago, Ginger had stopped going up the stairs but at this visit, she has begun going back up the stairs. PL ataxia is about the same as it has been for the last few weeks, but she still runs. She has lost some muscle mass in both PL's. Head warm, limbs cool. Tongue slightly pale pink, normal moisture. Pulses toned mid to deep depth. EAP BL18-BL18, BL20-BL20, BL22-BL22 (all active points), sedate. Dry needle, TH5, GB41, BL26.

Day 225

Notes:  Has improved over last week - just slightly but still ataxic in both PL's with hypermetric gait LPL. Still runs, but needs help with stairs. Limbs not as cool as before - are warm - but head is still much warmer. Pulses toned mid to deep depth, tongue pink with normal moisture. Increased warmth in limbs may be due to an increase in allergies this week. It has been one year since the onset of symptoms. No urinary or fecal incontinence.

Diet is largely raw

Acupuncture points were stimulated

Day 302

Notes:  UTI diagnosed 12/27/16. Head, body, limbs warm. BL 19/21/25 & GB25 active. Pelvic limbs weak & ataxic, but can still walk with assistance.

Diet is largely raw

Day 351

Notes:  Still able to walk when motivated by food. Doing well in her cart-she moves her hips & thighs when in the cart. Pulse is wiry. Tongue pink with normal moisture. Yellow, dry crusts on right rear pads 4 & 5 and metatarsal pad as well as pad on digit 5 left rear. Will be seen by UC Davis Dermatology department next week. Head warm, limbs cool. Pulse became more normal when GB34 & GB25 needled. UTI is resolved.

Day 498

Notes:  Ginger now has a chronic UTI in spite of being on antibiotic therapy. When questioned, the owner thinks Ginger may not be able to completely empty her bladder. She leaked a small amount of urine during her treatment & the owner stated that she not is intermittently urinary incontinent (small amounts). On previous visits the owner stated there was no incontinence. Pulse was felt middle to deep & was difficult to compress. The tongue was pale pink & moist. BL 19 & BL22 were active. Head and body warm, distal extremities cool. Ear pinnae red with mild erythema of paws.
