Zephyr is an 8 year old male neutered Mixed Breed/Husky Mix. He presented to HVC on February 16th, 2016 with complaints of mouth pain with a diagnosis of chronic ulcerative periodontal stomatitis and a history of a recent positive Lyme and Anaplasma test. Diet is holistic wellness dry food, with some raw food.
Prior to his being seen at HVC, he was being treated with Minocycline for Lyme/Anaplasma with the side effect of vomiting.
On 2/16/16 at HVC, he was put on Colloidal Silver, Transfer Factor, Slippery Elm, Poppy/Scutularia, 81mg Aspirin BID q12h, and Nin Xie (?) In-house cytology was performed on selected areas of inflamed oral tissues.

Notes: At that visit, he was also given acupuncture (AP) and laser treatments. AP points stimulated were ST36, ST8, LI 4, LI 11, and GV20a. Laser was applied to LI 11 and SP6.

At his visit on 2/24/16, he was given acupuncture (AP) and laser treatments. AP points stimulated were ST36, ST8, LI 4, LI 11, and GV20a. Laser was applied to LI 11 and SP6.
On 3/10/16, his AP treatment was repeated. He has shown great improvement since his initial presentation. His owner was advised to continue on Minocycline, Transfer Factor, Apis 30C drops, and Slippery Elm or Poppy/Scutularia for pain.
He is due for his next appointment on March 24th, 2016, at which he will have his acupuncture treatment repeated, and the health of his oral cavity assessed.
