• Keratin Separating From Beak: Hi,
  
  Rosita is an approximately 40 year old female blue and gold macaw with a history of chronic lymphoid leukemia and elevated bile acids. For the past two years, her beak has progressively worsened. The top layer of keratin is lifting from the underlying vascular layer. I was wondering if there is something that can be given to help strengthen the beak. I suspect the leukemia and liver dysfunction are likely the primary issue.
