Question Details
Laryngeal Paralysis
by marneemadsen - June 14, 2009
Hi,
Do you typically see laryngeal paralysis mechanism as similar to collapsing trachea, ie usually TB disease?

Anything homeopathy-wise some new clients could try until I see them in a couple of weeks?

11 yr old lab, dry dull coat, low energy and stridor with exercise per clients. Also has low T4 levels and was started on soloxine which made breathing much worse and the dog anxious. They stopped and he is better without supplementation.

Thanks!
Marnee

Another possiblity seems to be Damp accumulation. Si Miao San and San Ren Tang would be options in that case. Thyroid hormone would theoretically be aggravating if the animal were Damp or had Damp Heat, so I'd give it a try.

Hi again,

We have two dogs that have done well on Du Huo Ji Sheng Tang. So Kidney deficiency, with failure to grasp descending Lung Qi, is also a possibility. I would imagine that any well suited Kidney tonic might be helpful, including perhaps even Rehmannia Eight.
