Question Details
Psychogenic Polydypsia
by todd - July 27, 2009
Dear Steve and associates,
We talked a few mo. ago re a 4 yr. old dog with the above. The dog has a dry red tongue and active gb points which opened a tight pulse, a year ago. Dog's tongue moistened and polydypsia improved on XCHT W/QIN JIAO and Yi Guan Jian..yet remained off and on symptomatic at times. After talking we decided to try BWDHW in place of YGJ to try to stoke up the KI Yang. Dog has not done as well on that combo. Any other suggestions? Appreciated!!! Todd

Hi Todd,

Since XCHT was helpful, and the dog intensely thirsty, then a version of XCHT that is more aggressively cooling to the upper burner may help. My next guess would be to try Chai Hu Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang. And I would also go back to YGJ. I would also have learned not to always trust certain people's advice.
