I know this may sound like a waste of your time, but would like to ask you a question for future reference.
I saw this dog with fever at ER, and found signs of heart disease. His tongue was dry, and the color was pale pink with somewhat lavender. His pulse was choppy.
Following day, the dog had endocarditis after echo, developed left sided heart failure with minimum amount of IV fluid, and went to cardiologist and given 1 year of live if lucky.
He has prior history of occasional lameness that was treated with doxy with incomplete response for 6 weeks.
He is on 10 different medications (mostly heart meds and abx) and looks pretty bad. Have you had any success treating this condition far advanced?
My first thought was to use Qing Ying Tang or San Ren Tang wheh he presented to me at ER; since it is not my practice, I could not recommend that far (I did acupuncture to drain heat, though).
What is your thoughts?
