I have a patient, a young Bengal, with chronic recurring diarrhea, and chronic tritrichomoniasis (has had repeated PCR tests). His gut signs significantly improve, but don't quite resolve, with SRT, and probiotics. In fact, we have had a couple of times where he has been PCR negative on SRT, only to relapse when the herbs are stopped. He has a red tongue with rounded borders, and I cant really feel his pulse or do Ax because he does not stay still. He has a Liver Yang reactive behavior. When I tried Agastache, his diarrhea worsened. I'm considering adding in more of a tonic to help resolve the infection, but his TCM may be too hot and he is not deficient so while makes sense logically does not fit the pattern he presents. Do you have any experience/suggestions with these cats with tritrich?
thanks Steve
