Where To Obtain Formula?

Hi, I am studying CIVT's CHM course and after reading slides, I have a cat that is currently on Rehmannia 8 but I think would really really benefit from this formula:

Gui Zhi Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang (Cinnamon Decoction with Dragon Bone and Oyster Shell Decoction)

After reading the hyperthyroidism section notes.

I do not see it is available for order from my suppliers - I presume biosecurity reasons? Is anyone prescribing this and if so, where are they obtaining it? Thank you! Erika

Hi Erika,

There would be no biosecurity issues for that formula, for sure. It's just not that commonly used, so no one sells it ready-made.

You can, however, order the ingredients and make it yourself, likely from the same place you are getting your other formulas, if you are buying granular extracts. All the ingredients are safe and inexpensive.

Just to simplify its creation, can one mix 15g of each Long Gu and Mu Li to Gui Zhi Tang?

Hi Rieko,

So nice to hear from you! Yes, that idea will work just fine - buy the Gui Zhi Tang, Long Gu and Mu Li separately, then add 15 or 20g of each of the Long Gu and Mu Li to 100g of Gui Zhi Tang
