Cats Claw Use In Cancer

I will be seeing a patient for the first time next week who was diagnosed with a nerve sheath tumor in the L7-S1 area. HE has been treated with raditation and the oncologist sent him to me for acupuncture to help with a neuropathy and any suppliments. The family has him on Cats Claw Non-TOA. I have not used this are there any problems or contrindiactions. Does it help in anyones experience ? I found it can reduce platlete aggrevation , but can protect gi from ulcers, stim immune, antiinflam to gut and joints. some claim reduces tumors.
I found there are two forms:inner bark una de gato and vine bark uncaria tomentosa. Some say Non-toa must be used in animals while some say will not be effective if Non-Toa ??? innerbark vs vine ark ?? TOA vs non-Toa ? Any infor would be great thanks Sue

Hi Sue,

At this point, you know more about Cat's Claw than I do. Pubmed is where I do my research on this sort of thing. If there is cancer research supporting its use, it should be referenced there.
