You saw her in May at Kindred so may remember that she is a lively sweet girl! No issues with anxiety, fearfulness. Solid dog with a joyful spirit. Her owner originally had her on Female Lumps & Bumps and Prolactin for the last two cycles but no change or lessening of signs.
In May her pulse was wiry, sedating ST37 helped wiriness disappear so we thought she needed a Blood moving approach. We started her on Xiao Fang Huo Ming Yin to deal with the mammary gland inflammation (stasis) and added Xiao Yao San for the hormonal imbalance as well as for Blood deficiency and Dampness accumulation.
She has just had a mother heat and now into 4 weeks of swollen full teats. The owner is giving her sage tea (?) 4 times daily and applying mustard plasters with camphor (these are all her ideas, not mine). Because she lives 4 hours away I have not been able to see her yet. Murphy is still bright, energetic, and happy. Consistently patient with her owner's attention to mammary gland detail :) Her glands do not appear sore or red.
At this point should I be looking at this as more of a strictly Damp Heat case and try SMS? Maybe with some Dang Gui?
She does not strike me as a THO case. There is no intensity to her signs.
I would really appreciate your help! As would Murphy. She is likely tired of all the boob-grabbing!!
