When she was 1 year old, she developed dry, itchy skin. She was prone to diarrhea and soft stool with diet changes and too much fat in the diet. For this reason, I put her on "Drain Dampness and Nourish the Skin." Her skin improved and has been much better since then.
Recently (September 2020) she began to develop more odor in her ears (yeast-smell) and ceruminous discharge. She also has brown skin discoloration in her in axillary region. She is generally pruritic
Relevant exam findings: BCS 7/9. Tongue dark pink. Pulses deep, slightly difficult to find, possibly wiry.
Because of the timing (end of summer), I am thinking that this might be a "shao yang" disharmony. I was thinking of putting her on Four Marvels for the yeast/dampness and then Minor Bupleurum. Do these sound like appropriate herbs for this condition?
Thank you!
