Hi there,
I think you're thinking of
Assisi Loops. I don't think there is much downside to giving them a try and some veterinarians swear by them.
For neck issues especially aggravated in winter, consider adding in Du Huo Ji Sheng Tang, especially if the pulse seems quite toned, or quite deep. Keep in mind that BYHWT has significant Astragalus content, which is a Wei Qi tonic and astringes, potentially 'trapping the thief inside the house'. If you have a Wind Cold invasion (which DHJST addresses), it could potentially worsen under the influence of Astragalus. Maybe drop the dose of BYHWT a little, add in a robust dose of DHJST, and see if that helps. It still fits your overall impression of Yang deficiency, so it should not be aggravating.
Hope that helps!
Steve
