Question Details
Suicide Point
by jschell - October 24, 2021
Hello Dr Marsden. I am excited to be able to give a one hour dicussion at the AVAC Annual General Meeting about acupuncture points used to decrease anxiety and stress and trauma, especially as pet owners move back into the office after working at home so long due to Covid restrictions.

I remember you talking in your acupuncture lectures about a "Suicide Prevention Point" I believe along the ST meridian to help decrase mania and feelings of self harm in humans. Was it ST24 to calm the Shen?

Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Julie

Hi Julie,

I think the point I found most helpful, but not often discussed, was Kidney 9. I found it to be palpably active only in people who ended up being diagnosed later with severe mental emotional disorders

Here's an example reference to help you out
