9 yr old lab, used pretty heavily for breeding. Chronic RF lameness and some collapse in the carpus. He runs cold, occ. has sperm count issues. Has responded in the past to BWDHW, XHLD, DGSYS, but can get Liver Damp Heat in the summer.
Recently, borderline thyroid levels, low normal HCT. Coat dry.
T = deep red/purple/stasis changes to lavender
P = Superficial, quite wiry, slippery underneath
Active pts = BL17 S, BL21,22 S, best at moderating pulse was tonify BL 60. It seems like a strange combination - though I am assuming BL 60 is pumping in heat.
I was thinking back to BWDHW, but do I need to think about a tai yang formula? Is that more with sedation of BL60?
Thanks!
