Am seeing dog that we've been treating for partislly removed SCC of lip. Responding well to Hoxsey, SMS, Vit.A/D, Diet change and Fish Oils. Initially, signs were very phlegmy tongue, also dark colored. I must have been disstracted as I failed to record the Pulse. Ear tips and paws cool. Now tongue is very DRY and pink and lavender.Ears are warm and feet still cool. Pulse is now wide, full , strong with some lift--dog is a greyhound ...almost always have tension in pulse and...this dog like the other greyhounds I've seen haas a history of severe dental infections. Only other significant Hx is crysalluria in the past, and loose stool on abx. I went with the SMS due to the loose stool noted, and an anxious owner that I wished not to trigger fear in if the dog got loose stool on the Hoxsey. Wondering what you would suggest on herb mgmt. now that tongue has changed.
Thanks a ton! Todd Metcalf
