I have a 9 yr old lab with Hx of stifle Sx for ACL rupture- very succesful result. It is going generally really well, but with weight loss he is now nicely lean but has very dry coat.
Pulse - firm, wiry, rapid, a bit superficial even.
Tongue - deep purple, touch of red to underside noted. Other mmembs are quite red.
BL 18-19 region is very reactive to palpation.
So my assessment was blod stasis with possible stasis heat - certainly no dampness noted. Probably stasis is causing the demonstration of Blood deficiency signs in the skin?
This had me looking for formulae and it looked as though XYT may fit - what do you think? How do you use it predominantly? Others that fit the dog better?
