Xiao Chai Hu With Some Additives For Cervical Instability
I have a 4 yr Doberman who has been on Cervical Formula (Jing Tang) and Bu Gan Tang (NP). I diagnosed a Shao Yang Disharmony today, and would like to use Xiao Chai Hu and add Qing Huo and Bai Shao (I think) and possibly Gui Zhi? Since Bai Shao tonifies Blood, should I maintain BGT? Add like 10 -15 grams of each herb to 100 gms of XCH?
Patient is t painful, compensating well. Thoracic traps are more like rocks than muscles and I’m worried that’s about to give way to pain (Blood Stagnation? ) if this is better presented in a case I can do that, just trying to get a quickie done here at night.
