Patty is a 9 year old FS lab with a long history of low grade MCT. She has been managed with herbs and anti-inflammatories, and over the past 5 years has had various small lesions on her extremities removed. Last October, one of her lesions, on her trunk, came back as high grade, and the surgeon recommended chemo, which she started a few weeks ago.
I have had her on modified XFZYT since August 2021, and added some 6 Gentlemen when she had a day of GI upset post-chemo. She has had 2 treatments (CHOP, I believe) so far, and seems to have episodes of heat a few days later. I think the oncologist is happy with her response. When I saw her yesterday, I was struck with how her lavender tongue and toned pulse seemed more like a XCHT case. And this latest tumor definitely came up in the fall. Might I conclude that the modified XFZYT is not cutting it for her (since she has continued to get mast cell lesions while on it), and she might derive more benefit from XCHT?
Her energy and attitude remains good, but she has episodes of hind end weakness and pain. Her mobility was reported to be better after an AP treatment yesterday-- BL 18, 23, 25 and right limb points. I also sent her home with some Hoxsey to be given if she has another post-chemo hot spell.
Thanks in advance,
Karen
