From a TCM standpoint I haven't gotten a tongue and pulse yet. However, I know that he has a severe liver blood deficiency. He is also constantly trembling which suggests liver wind with the end result of these two conditions resulting in liver blood stasis in the paws, anus, eyes (currently where all of his lesions are).
When determining a formula I think Xiao Chai Hu Tang might work best, but am wondering if adding in milk thistle might also be beneficial along with an oral antioxidant supplement. I did start him on fish oil, zinc, and an egg per day for amino acids.
Thanks!
