by Michelle1 - November 19, 2009
Hi Steve,
Seeing a 12 year old N/M with a hx of hematuria and urgency over the past 2 years. had been controled on DES and Baytril, cannot wean off. had an agressive mass that led to forelimb amputation last year as well. eating Urban Wolf, XCHJYJT for vertigo and elevated liver enzymes along with PGZYT- still not able to wean off teh Baytril. Sox is urinating all over the house now despite th baytril, DES, and other herbs, losing weight, ravenous appetite, urine is dark yellow and smelly Michelle says- just urinated before he came in today. Pulses are deep and slippery, cannot see tongue- Lockjaw! with bridging calculus. Skin is dry and hair is really thinning alot more. Is this Kidney Yin deficiency with heat? (No stones on rads, pending UA)
Thank-you!
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

You do indeed seem to be describing classic Yin deficiency. If that's the right direction to go, then Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan should help some, and produce relatively comprehensive improvements. There are other strategies to explore here, but at least a partial response to ZBDHW would be expected if you're on the right track.
