Laryngeal Paralysis

Hi Steve, Hope all is well with you and yours. My 15 yr old brittany X has progressively worsening laryngeal paralysis. She is getting to the point that I am considering Sx. We had tried acupuncture on her but it freaks her out too badly so we stopped about 1 yr ago. She has had 2 perianal adenocarcinomas removed and had a hard recovery each time (mos until back to normal) I have her on Bu zhong yi qi tang for the tumors. She also had severe vestibular dz 1 yr ago following her last Sx, and DJD of hocks and carpus Any herbals I can use for the lar par?

My favourite herbal formula for this is Xiao Chai Hu Tang. Interestingly, it also treats other conditions your dog has had, including neoplasia, lameness and vestibular disease.

The other option is Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang. Or use the two formulas together. XFZYT has been really useful as part of a treatment protocol for perianal tumors.
