It's a good question. The overall effect is to make the pulse more superficial, since it contains a lot of tonics and aromatics. At the same time, however, the bland herbs help to drain, and thus pull the blood inwards. So this might be one of those formulas where the pulse is not as strong an indication of whether the formula is appropriate or not. Generally, though, I would expect the pulse to be perhaps weak, weak and slippery, possibly deep, and maybe only faintly toned or wiry.
