Question Details
Cancer Suppl.?
by Cathy L. - February 2, 2010
Hello Steve and group,

I finally started using Vit A & D for my cancer patients, and am wondering what everyone's favorite non-herb supplements are, esp. those w/ some research behind them.

Is anyone measuring Vit D levels in pets, sick or well? Seems to me they can utilize some from food (?), and make the rest, but in our area this time of yr, most do not spend much time outdoors.

So- mushrooms? green supplements? antioxidants? Other vitamins? (E,etc) IP6? Beta glucan? Others?

Thanks!!

:)Cathy L.

Hi Cathy,

Antioxidants are always wise, I think. I also have to say that I've seen unusual longevity in animals receiving IP 6. Several studies (in vitro) have demonstrated its ability to promote cell differentiation and inhibit proliferation, to the point that one study showed a reversion of the tumor cell line to phenotype! (never heard that one before). So while I haven't yet sourced it for myself, it's a thought.
