His tongue and gums were bright red and ulcerated when I first saw him a few weeks ago. The tip of his tongue was red/purple and the gums were bleeding bright red. His pulse was superficial, fast and surging and was WAY too easy to feel for a cat. He enjoys sleeping in warm, soft locations. He is hungry but will vomit soon after eating any DRY food, he does ok with wet food but does not want to eat when his mouth is at its worst. He is most active at 7-9 a.m. and 3-6 pm.
I treated ST 44 & 45, Sp 6 & 10, ST 36, LI 4, and BL 20 & 21. I also started him on oral Traumeel liquid and had them stop his steroid injections.
Even just two weeks later, his mouth is markedly improved, he is eating better and has gained weight, his gums are no longer bleeding and his tongue/gums are less red. He is grooming himself and is more affectionate. His insulin requirements are dropping.
I was thinking of starting him on Qing Wei San with Yu Nu Jian? What is your opinion on whether or not this would be an appropriate formula for him?
Thank you!
