Question Details
Oral Squamous Cell
by lsargent - February 11, 2010
Hello Steve,

Perhaps this is closing the barn door after the horse is gone but a good friend of mine has a 2 y/o basset hound diagnosed with oral SCC and it has started bleeding. Apparenttly the huge snow storm in the NE saved her as they couldn't get out to a vet and she rallied.
I am sending them the Hoxsey;ilke formula as they have another with mediastinal lymphoma and she is also taking turmeric which is helping but could we put her on Yunnan Baiyao as well?
Would Spleen support help(Wei Ling Tang)? This dog eats and acts normal 90% of the time, at least that's what I am told, and they are questioning when the time is appropriate to euthanize. I am 1200 miles away so it is hard for me to assess. It would be nice for this little girl to sleep away or just crash and burn without the rallying.
This dog is a Fire constitution and always has to be the loudest of the herd. She had an infection as a pup, can't remember what now, and since then has areas on her body where the hair does not grow and the skin is oily. Other parts of her body have hair whichis normal, she is significantly smaller than the rest of the litter.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
Lois

Hi Lisa,

If you'd like to support the Hoxsey but protect the GI, I'd use Si Miao San instead of WLT.

No problem using YBY.

Hopefully you'll see some results. Or hear of them, I guess.

Steve
