I've had some Blood deficient lymphoma dogs do well on Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang, followed by San Ren Tang. These cases are mild.
For more severe cases, XFHMY applied topically can help open lesions heal. Remember the case I mentioned in class, too, that one time - we used Chai Hu Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang on him plus metronomic doses of cyclophosphamide. He lived a long time before succumbing.
If the tongue is quite forceful, we need to be careful of tonics. Dispersing is what's needed. But if you're sure, XFZYT is the place to start because at least it moves as it moistens.
