Hi Tomasina,
The lesion locations at the ends of the 'extremities', which the head often behaves like, suggests an issue with peripheral circulation and immune surveillance. The exception is if the lesions themselves are severe and inflammatory, and the paws and ears hot. But if not, then the goal would be to increase circulation to those regions. XFZYT accomplishes this, but is not strongly cooling. Hoxsey is quite cooling, but if anything, might pull blood in to the periphery.
A formula that also supports peripheral circulation but is anti-neoplastic and cooling is Xian Fang Huo Ming Yin (Angelica and Mastic Combination). If it really worked well, you could probably rely on it for your cooling effects and start to pull back on Hoxsey if you liked.

Thanks Steve, I'll add that to the mix for a few weeks, then see if I can pull back in the Hoxsey. The peripheral lesions are inflamed and moist and often ulcerated. He does also have muzzle pyoderma, and used to have interdigital pyoderma but that has resolved in the last couple of months.Do you think the XFHMY will inrease the inflammation? I forgot to add that he also have weekly intravenous Vitamin C. And he has had injections of an intralesional protein kinase activator into the most painful lesions, which has accelerated their demise.

XFHMY is a good anti-inflammatory for nasty looking lesions. If the animal has obvious tone in the pulse with at least some finger lift, it should be okay. If paws, limbs, or ears are cool, at all, then XFHMY is a good option.

HI Steve,
I have had Max on Hoxsey Like formula (3ml BID) and XFHMY for about three weeks. IN that time his pulse has become less slippery,and is more superficial, and his tongue has changed from lavender
pink and swollen with a thick coat, to a more pink red peeled tongue. He is still on his antiox supplements, and is going along OK. His peripheral lymph nodes have subsided, and although we had a cluster of new MCT lesions 2 weeks ago, there are no new lesions in the last week.
He does however have two longstanding painful lesions which I would like to palliate. One is on his upper lip, and the other on the palmar aspect of his LHL. Both are inflamed ulcerated and painful, but not bleeding. They are pink lavender in colour, and painful to touch. I have tried topical creams using aloe, XFZYT, XFHMY, but none of these seems to help. My understanding is that you cannot use DMSO in MCT lesions.
Do you have suggestions to palliate these painful lesions
