I was asked my thoughts on an 11 y/o F/s Rott with osteo in left femur diagnosed 18m ago. She is still eating and acting okay although a little slower but is showing with limb edema of the affected limb, throughout the entire limb. We are suspecting mets throughout the body and the owner wants to keep her as comfortable as possible. She is quiet, not in your face, still walking on the affected leg but was not happy when I attempted pulse palpation.
What are your thoughts and should I be bold enough to use needles as well?
Thanks,
Lois
